Gratitude

For those of you who know me personally, know that I am someone who is consistently reminding myself and others of living with gratitude!   Some days are easier than others of course, but taking note of things that you are grateful for in your life can help change that negative mindset into a more positive one.

Everybody has something that they can be grateful for and everyone has a different view on what is special to them. For some it is material things and for some it is more personal and there is also a mixture of both......we can be grateful to wake up each day, the beautiful weather, that special memory, family, friends, the trip we are on and making memories, the smile that you were given that melted your heart. Whatever the reason, finding gratitude and being thankful for everything that you have can take your focus off of things that you wish were different.

Finding the balance in life can be quite the task but making sure that we are fully in the moment when doing something and appreciating it for what it is, can help us live life in the present instead of in our heads in the future. Having goals, thinking and planning ahead are necessary but not to live our lives there. Being fully present in our lives instead of living on autopilot can make life a lot more fulfilling and wholesome.

So what can you do to start living a life of gratitude? What works for me is daily reminders throughout the day, affirmations and also keeping a Gratitude Journal. Go out and get yourself a journal or you can even make one! In the morning, you can start by writing some affirmations (positive statements) for your day, eg. this day will flow smoothly, negative people will walk right past me, I attract only loving, kind and positive people. You can then end the day before bed make a list of at least 5 things that you are thankful for.

When you are feeling down, or not in the thankful mood, reading over those lists will show you just how much you do have in your life and will snap you out of the negative funk you have going on in your head.

Living a life of gratitude will attract more and more positive occurrences to happen in your life. You attract in your life what you feel, so by keeping that vibe on the positive side, remembering what makes you thankful, happy, touches your heart and soul, will give you an all around great life experience despite having life changes and challenges that happen.

Don't take my word for it, I want you to LIVE it! get out there, get that journal and take note of what you are truly grateful for daily....it will change your life & for the better :)

Yours in transformation,

Tania
